Privacy Policy

Effective August 21, 2026

This policy describes what information is collected, why it is collected, which third parties process it, and what rights you may exercise. It covers carlpeterlin.com and the programs offered through it. Summary: information is collected only as required to deliver purchased programs and to meet tax and legal obligations. Personal information is not sold. Full payment card details are never received or stored.

  1. Data Controller

Carl J. Peterlin Jr., operating as a sole proprietor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

  2. Information Collected

    Upon purchase of a program

    • Name and business name
    • Work email address
    • Phone number, where provided
    • Billing address, required for correct sales tax calculation
    • Transaction records: amount, date, order identifier, and tax collected
    • Program activity: sections opened and decisions recorded

Upon designation of a second seat

    • The designated individual's name, work email address, and role

Upon request of a brief or subscription to a list

    • Name, email address, and originating source

    Upon visiting the website

    • Standard analytics data: pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and referring source
  3. Information Not Collected

Full payment card numbers, card security codes, and bank credentials are never received or stored. Payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe. What is received is confirmation that payment succeeded, the amount, and the final four digits for reconciliation purposes.

  4. Purpose of Collection

    • To deliver purchased programs and establish access.
    • To meet Pennsylvania sales tax obligations, which require an address for correct calculation.
    • To respond to inquiries and provide support.
    • To send program communications, including access links and entitled materials.
    • To retain transaction and tax records as required for accounting and audit purposes.
  5. Third-Party Processors

The following vendors process data in the course of operating this practice. Each maintains its own privacy policy governing that processing.

    • Stripe: payment processing and tax calculation.
    • HighLevel (GoHighLevel): customer records, program delivery, and email sending.
    • Resend: transactional email delivery.
    • Cloudflare: website hosting and delivery.
    • Google Analytics: aggregate website traffic measurement.

Beyond these processors, information is disclosed only where required by law.

  6. Prohibited Practices

    • Personal information is not sold to data brokers, advertisers, or any other party.
    • Contact information is not rented, traded, or shared with other businesses for their marketing purposes.
    • No advertising trackers or cross-site retargeting pixels are deployed.
  7. Program Communication and Marketing

These categories are maintained separately. Program communication comprises access links, entitled materials, and information necessary to use a purchased program, and forms part of product delivery. Marketing communication comprises the newsletter and practice updates, is controlled independently, and carries an unsubscribe link in every message. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect program access or the communications required to deliver it.

  8. Second Seat Data

Designating a colleague for the second seat constitutes provision of that individual's personal information. Accordingly:

    • By submitting their details, you confirm you have the standing to invite them.
    • That individual receives a separate record and separate access. Their program activity is not visible to you, and yours is not visible to them.
    • They are not added to marketing lists as a consequence of designation.
    • They may request removal of their information at any time.
  9. Retention

    • Transaction and tax records: retained as required by tax and accounting law, generally seven years.
    • Program access records: retained while access remains active, as access is not time-limited.
    • Marketing contacts: retained until unsubscribe or removal request.
    • Analytics: retained in aggregate per platform retention settings.
  10. Your Rights

Regardless of jurisdiction, you may request that I:

    • Disclose what information is held about you
    • Correct inaccurate information
    • Delete your information, where deletion would not conflict with a legal retention requirement or revoke access you wish to retain
    • Provide a copy of information you have supplied
    • Cease marketing communication

Submit requests to [email protected]. Identity will be confirmed by reasonable means before action is taken. Residents of California and of jurisdictions with comparable statutes hold these rights by operation of law. Exercising them will not result in different pricing or degraded service.

  11. Data Location

The processors listed above operate primarily in the United States, and information is processed there. Purchasers located outside the United States thereby direct that their information be processed in the United States for the purpose of program delivery.

  12. Security

Access to customer records is limited to Carl J. Peterlin Jr. Payment data is handled by Stripe rather than by systems under my control. The website operates over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and no representation to the contrary is made. In the event of a breach affecting your information, you will be notified directly and promptly.

  13. Minors

These programs are directed to senior business leaders. No portion is directed to individuals under 18, and information from minors is not knowingly collected.

  14. Cookies

The website uses essential cookies required for page functionality and analytics cookies measuring aggregate traffic. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used. Browser settings may block cookies, though blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from operating correctly.

  15. Amendment

This policy may be updated, and the effective date above will change accordingly. Where a change materially affects the handling of your information, purchasers will be notified by email.
